Improv 201: Game of the Scene
with April Kirby
Thursdays 7-9pm
June 12 - August 14
Want to learn what makes improv tick? Join April Kirby in a new improv course designed to help you identify what makes your scenes go and how to carry that momentum forward. We will take it a step beyond a standard introductory class and begin to examine how a good game of the scene can translate to a cohesive theme of the show that feels connected even though we made it all up on the spot.
In this class, we will explore foundational improv concepts such as:
Game of the scene
Escalation
Support
Tag runs
TIMES: The course will take place on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from June 12-August 14, with 2 sessions off at the discretion of the instructor.
EXPERIENCE: This is a great class for students with a basic foundation in improv, though beginners are welcome to join.
REFUND POLICY: Class tuition will be refunded in full up to 7 days prior to the class start date. Refunds will not be granted after the deadline.
