Actually

  • Armour Street Theatre 307 Armour St. Davidson, NC (map)

By Anna Ziegler

Amber and Tom, finding their way as freshmen at Princeton, spend a night together that alters the course of their lives. They agree on the drinking, they agree on the attraction, but consent is foggy, and if unspoken, can it be called consent? With lyricism and wit, ACTUALLY investigates gender and race politics, our desire to fit in, and the three sides to every story.

Recommended for ages 17+. Contains adult content and frank discussions of sexual assault.

Amy Wada Headshot

Amy Wada (Director)

Amy grew up on the Florida Gulf Coast, but has spent most of her artistic life in the Metrolina region. Most of her artistic endeavors have been spent on stage and on camera. She dabbles in photography also, but this mostly means she willingly does headshots for friends. Favorite roles include THE CHINESE LADY (Afong Moy) at Three Bone Theatre, THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST (Popeye) at Theatre Charlotte, and WHEN YOU COMIN’ BACK, RED RYDER? (Angel) at CAST. Amy was most recently on stage at Three Bone Theatre as Meiko in EUREKA DAY. ACTUALLY at Davidson Community Players marks her formal directorial debut! Thank you Steve, Carrie, Katy, and Chip for your support. She is grateful for Luna, Dionte, and Shelbi for lending their tremendous talents on this project. And finally, our WBL: Zen, Fran, Steph, and Karina….I appreciate the YESSSES, when I was unsure.  Never forget your power.
