Adult Acting

This morning edition of “Adult Acting” will start your day with embodied arts practice for all skill levels. Depending on the size, experiences, and interests of the students, the instructor may tailor the class as the term moves along and include elements of scene study. Emphasis will be placed on core acting principles of:
Ensemble-building
Telling the truth
Active listening,
Physical/vocal confidence.
Returning and new students welcome!
TIMES: The course will take place on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00am from Feb 17 - Apr 21, with 2 sessions off at the discretion of the class.
EXPERIENCE: Open to all skill levels.
REFUND POLICY: Class tuition will be refunded in full up to 7 days prior to the class start date. Refunds will not be granted after the deadline.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Frandasia “Frannie” Williams received her Master of Fine Arts in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design. Frannie recently performed five different characters in The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s production of Pinnochio. She served as the assistant director/stage manager in Davidson Community Players’ production of Yankee Tavern and performed two characters in their production of The Explorers Club. She also directed for the Boos & Brews production of Kindred Spirits.
Frannie is an improviser and former, originating member of Mom’s Adhesive Improv Group, based out of Charlotte, NC. She performed with the group in The Cape Fear Comedy Festival and the Tampa Improv Festival. She continued her improvisation work in Sketch Comedy of New York.
Frannie has been credited in commercial and industrial projects for IBM, Well Fargo, and Subway. One of her short films, Time of Death, debuted in The Wales International Film Festival, Raw Science Film Festival, and received a Gold Award for the Spotlight Short Film Awards.
