ABOUT THE CONNIE COMPANY
As the youth and education component of Davidson Community Players, the Connie Company incorporates theatre education, practical experience, and an emphasis on fun for young people, ages 4 to 18. A wide variety of programs, from classes and camps to productions, run year round and are primarily housed at the Armour Street Theatre in Davidson.

The Connie Company Main Stage
•3 Main Stage productions a year, Fall, Winter, and late Spring.
•The Connie Company offers many performance opportunities for youth Productions feature timely and timeless stories.
•All levels are encouraged to attend the open auditions. Youth Auditions are posted here.
•Three times a year: Spring, Summer and Fall. (Placement auditions are announced)
•Ensembles based on level of experience and age.
•Over 50 hours of instruction
•Develops acting skills, script reading, costuming, makeup, set design and construction.
•Meets twice a week with a professional instructor.
•Three performances offered free of charge to the community.
Connie On The Fly
•Invitation-only company that tours local schools and groups providing outreach to the community through theatre and designed to inspire a love of theatre.
•Late Summer program (placement auditions are announced)
•Includes a week workshop with daily works sessions during which the cast will be introduced to the play and will develop important skills geared toward interpreting the text.
•Meets 3 x a week for 6 weeks or 60 hours and is an educational workshop with a healthy dose of instruction in the art of reading and performing.
•Five public performances at Davidson Community Players’ Armour Street Theatre.
•Weekly camps June-August.
•Age ranges 4-16 with camps divided among age groups.
•End of week showcase.
